MEET THE LAWYERS


JOHN W. WHITWORTH


John W. Whitworth is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1979.


John practiced law in Camden, Tennessee at the firm of Frazier and Whitworth from 1979 until December 2005 when he purchased Andrew B. Frazier's interest in the firm. From January 2006 to the present, John has owned and practiced at Whitworth Law Firm, focusing his practice on real estate law, estate planning, probate, and insurance defense. In May 2009, John was appointed Benton County General Sessions and Juvenile Judge by the Benton County Commission and was re-elected for an 8-year term in 2014 and again in 2022. John serves on the Executive Committee of the Tennessee Council for Juvenile and Family Court Judges and the Board of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.


John is also a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation. He is a lifelong resident of Benton County and an active member of his church and community. John is married to Vicki Fry Whitworth and they have a son - Tom Whitworth - who practices law in Nashville.



MARCUS D. NOLES


Marcus D. Noles is a graduate of the University of Memphis where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology.


Marcus continued his education at Southern Illinois University School of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 2011.


After graduation, he returned to his hometown of Camden to practice law. He has practiced at Whitworth Law Firm since returning home. He focuses on domestic litigation, criminal defense, civil litigation, and general estate planning. In October 2017 Marcus was appointed the City Attorney for Camden and continues to serve in this capacity.


Marcus is a lifelong resident of Benton County. He is active in his community and church and enjoys being outdoors. He is the father of Benton County Public School student, Sawyer Noles.

He is active in the Community, Church and outdoor activities. Marcus is married to Susan Odle Noles and they have one awesome son. Sawyer Noles, who attends public school in Benton County.
